Here’s what we love sharing most
The holidays are when pâté really shines — on charcuterie boards, at family gatherings, and in those quiet, cozy moments when good food is meant to be shared. This season, we asked the Alexian team how they enjoy pâté during the holidays. From beautifully styled boards to the simplest crusty-bread bites, their answers prove there’s no wrong way to serve it — just delicious ones.

How they serve it: I am new to the pâté world but am very into charcuterie boards. I’m excited to have Alexian as a new addition to my board! I usually feature a spread of brie, cheddar, gruyere, fig jam, crackers, kalamata and green olives, along with various pepperoni/salami. I am considering the Truffle Mousse, Pheasant & Rosemary, and Eggplant Goat Cheese pâtés as the new additions!
Must have on the side: Always red wine ?

How they serve it: For a favorite holiday pairing, Chicken and Veal! It is completely unique. Serve it diced and presented on a platter with toothpicks, cornichons, and some fruit spread on the side, such as currant or lingonberry.

How they serve it: I don’t eat pâté in any fancy way. I just put it on a crusty bread and have it that way, or eat a slice of coarse-cut pâté as a stand-alone snack. Good crusty bread is a must ?

How they serve it: I grew up in Brooklyn, so I would eat pizza as opposed to pâté! I’m going to try it with my family on Christmas, with all of the great suggestions my coworkers have given me. I will definitely get some good crusty bread!

How they serve it: My favorite pairing is the Eggplant and Goat Cheese Pâté with roasted red peppers on Alexian crackers. It is a delicious way for those who do not partake in liver to experience pâté. I include it on our charcuterie board along with a selection of cheeses, crackers, and sun-dried tomatoes. Since Eggplant and Goat Cheese with roasted red peppers is a Mediterranean-inspired bite, adding a glass of red wine completes the rustic feel.
Must have on the side: No charcuterie is complete without olives! From tapenade to black olives to stuffed olives. We love to fill in any empty space with an array.

How they serve it: Like Lee Ann, I love pizza too! I love making homemade pizzas and trying different toppings. Pizza is especially good with little dollops of Duck Rillette, or little pieces of Campagne or Forest Mushroom. It’s just like sausage but up-leveled and a little more gourmet.
Besides pizza, I am usually in charge of bringing the charcuterie board to holiday and family gatherings. I love the challenge of creating one that looks beautiful and tasty.
Pro tip: I always try to add a few different pâtés, a few different cheeses, as well as dried sausages and prosciutto. I cut things and organize them in different ways to add dimension, and always add fresh herbs and small flowers – they really bring it to life and always garner lots of ooohs and ahhhs and snapping of photos!
However you celebrate, pâté has a way of bringing people together. Whether it’s part of a beautifully styled board or enjoyed simply with good bread and good company, we hope these team favorites inspire a few delicious moments at your holiday table.
