What makes a ‘Changemaker?’
As described in the publication’s Summer 2026 issue, “Changemakers” are defined as “those who have made a significant contribution to the industry, their company, and their community.” For Alexandra, making waves in the industry has never been the goal; it’s preserving the pâté dream that began before she was even born.
Following Family Footsteps
Coming from a lineage of German butchers and sausage-makers, Alexandra grew up immersed in a family passion for culture and food. In Deli Business, she explains how the early influence of her parents’ founding Groezinger Provisions, along with her father’s quest to introduce his family’s traditional European pâté recipes to the U.S., shaped her perspective and ambitions.
From Pâté to Cheese to Pâté
After her father’s passing, Alexandra’s mother, Laurie Groezinger, took over the business. It was her mother’s leadership and resilience that paved the way for Alexandra to take the helm of Alexian decades later. But not without first branching out within the food industry, with pâtés’ favorite pairing—cheese! After six years in a full-time role with Cabot Cheese, she rejoined the family business, carving her own path at Alexian while remaining committed to crafting the highest-quality pâtés.
