5 Pâté Sandwiches You’ll Want to Eat Again and Again

A sandwich is arguably the perfect food. While a good ol’ tuna fish, turkey and cheese always hits the spot, there comes a time when you’re tired of the same old things. With Alexian pâtés, you’ll never have to suffer the disappointment of a half-hearted sandwich again. Prepared with love - using only the finest ingredients and premium sourced meats - Alexian pâtés elevate a sandwich in an instant.

The Modern Classic

When you put effort into building the perfect sandwich, you’ll reap the rewards. There’s nothing better than biting into a buttery, flaky baguette - topped with our Herb de Provence Chicken Pâté, layered with pickled vegetables to break the richness, balanced with crisp frisee and topped with a dijon aioli.

The pickled vegetables you use don’t matter very much - it all comes down to your personal preferences. Some of our favorites are green beans, radishes and carrots. Feel free to experiment with fresh vegetables - like sliced tomato or onion - as well.

You can find a recipe for an amazing whole grain mustard aioli here, and a guide to quick-pickling vegetables here.

French-Thai Fusion

We’d be remiss if we didn’t include one of our most popular recipes of all time.

A fun play on the classic Banh Mi - our rendition of this sandwich marries our Chicken Liver Pâté with traditional Vietnamese pork for additional depth in flavor. Stuffed full of fresh veggies and herbs for a burst of freshness, this sandwich will leave you craving more.

Warm & Hearty

It’s been a cold winter so far here in the Northeast, but there’s nothing better than a hearty sandwich to warm your stomach.

First, julienne and sauté your choice of veggies (whatever you have - mushrooms, onions, peppers - the more the merrier!). Cut a piece of crusty baguette in half and toast both sides. Spread a layer of Dijon on the inside of the warm bread. For your sandwich filling, include a few thin slices of our Herb de Provence Chicken Pâté, and stuff to the brim with the warm vegetables you prepared.

Our Herb de Provence Chicken Pâté is made with a traditional French blend of herbs and spices and a splash of rum. When combined with the cooked vegetables, the sandwich really hits the spot!

Grilled Cheese/p>

You’re never too old for a grilled cheese. For a grown-up grilled cheese you can turn to again and again, gather shredded white cheddar, sliced swiss, a thick sliced bread, grilled onions and our Forest Mushroom Pâté.

Butter one side of two slices of bread. Add a thin slice of our Forest Mushroom Pâté, top with a slice of Swiss cheese, a sprinkle of white cheddar cheese, the grilled onions, another slice of Swiss, and finally the other slice of bread. Cook butter-side-down in a nonstick pan until golden brown on each side.

Something Special

This sandwich is comfort food at its finest.

Start with a fresh, crusty baguette from your local bakery. Cut in half and lightly toast it. Spread a generous helping of our Truffle Mousse Pâté. Sauté a few mushrooms, fry an egg and gently place them on top. On the opposite side of the baguette, spread whole grain mustard.

Close your eyes, take a bite, and enjoy the experience.
