Pâtétaining: Host Summer's "Coolest" Dinner Party

Do like the French and invigorate your summer suppers with light, cool meals filled with intriguing flavors. In Paris, no-cook summer feasts are the norm, thanks in part to the wide availability of high quality, fresh, gourmet foods native to France. With artisanal selections like pâtés, cheese, bread and produce at neighborhood markets, one can enjoy a well-balanced meal without the use of an oven or stove.

It's easy to celebrate this piece of French culture at home – no French market or Parisian flat required. To set up a charming summer supper, all that's needed is a curated selection of Alexian pâtés, thick French bread, gourmet cheeses and a handful of fresh produce. Place everything in separate rustic bowls or on small wood cutting boards. Then set aside small plates for guests to gather their own cool and refreshing summer spread.
