Holiday paté appetizers are simple, scrumptious & stylish

The versatility of our all-natural patés makes it easy to prepare gourmet presentations that are delicious and elegant. Serve these crowd-pleasing paté appetizers and you'll have plenty of time left over to relax and enjoy the revelry! Perfect for the holidays, they're just as fabulous all year long.

Everything from olives to crackers, pickles and carrot sticks taste great with paté. For something ultra simple, gather a few Alexian flavors on a tray and surround them with simple accompaniments. Our creamy mousse style patés - like this month's featured duck mousse - are perfect – and much more flavorful than boring store-bought vegetable dips.

For an easy chic presentation, gather some fresh, sliced large mushrooms, a mousse style paté or two and small slices of toasted or baked baguette. Serve the paté and mushrooms inside different festive-colored bowls, then put the bowls on platters and surround them with the toasts. For larger gatherings, include a few different patés, cubes of cheese, and some fruit preserves for variety.

Toothpicks make it easy to make divine portable appetizers. It's as simple as cutting a few fresh food favorites into small squares and combining them on the picks. Our country style patés are coarse yet smooth and can be cubed and speared along with pieces of cheese, pickles and tomatoes to create delightfully hors d'oeuvres. Assemble in advance or lay out the options and let guests mix and match!

To capture a full range of texture and flavor, offer a small "flight" of paté. Flights are a popular way to sample different wines and work great for patés, too. Just line up three or four patés presented on garnished plates, using grapes, strawberries, or even nuts. The colors will look great, especially when an assortment of flavors – like a vegetable, seafood, creamy mousse and a coarse country style paté - are included.
