Pâtétaining: Flavorful Salads with Pâté

Pâté is traditionally thought of as a rich, indulgent appetizer. However, that doesn't need to be the case for those trying to eat healthier after holiday indulgences. A light salad with a bite of pâté can be a healthy yet satisfying meal.

Try a frisee salad topped with pieces of our Pâté de Campagne, dressed simply with Dijon vinaigrette. Add Chicken Ballotine to a Middle-Eastern-inspired salad with couscous, mixed greens, and a light lemon vinaigrette. For a warmer winter salad, try mixing Duck Rillette and pine nuts into wilted spinach or kale, and top with an orange flavored dressing.

Just looking for a few bites on the side? Try a crostini topped with one of our spreadable mousses. It will provide a welcome savory element to your meal, while keeping the salad the star.

If you would rather eat your veggies by the handful, our vegetable terrines make delicious dips! Mixed Vegetable or Tomato Basil Pâté are particularly delicious – simply mash pâté with a fork, grab some carrot sticks, cucumbers, celery, or tortilla chips and dig in!
