Burgers, Brews, & Pâté:
4 Pairings You Need to Try this Summer

Admit it: on a hot summer day, there's no place you'd rather be than outside relaxing with a cold beer and a burger, fresh off of the grill. In fact, the only thing that could make such a day better is taking your burger to gourmet class by enhancing its flavor with our pâtés.

Read on for some of our favorite ways to bring our three summertime favorites together in harmony.

Light & Breezy

Golden sunshine and golden ales are the epitome of summer. Light beers go best with crisp, clean flavors such as lettuce, tomato, raw onion and cucumber. Enjoy them with an all-American classic (with a twist)! Make a classic cheeseburger and top it with the works. Spread some of our Black Peppercorn Mousse onto your bun, and prepare to be amazed. The combination of pork and black peppercorns bring out the best of both fresh veggies and light beers.

Something Darker

Dark beers aren't just for cool weather -- bursting with hints of coffee, chocolate, and licorice, bold beers like porters and stouts need something that won't be overwhelmed by their flavor. Our French Bistro burger uses our rich Truffle Mousse and bold caramelized onions to enhance the smokiness of the meat, making it a formidable pairing for the flavor-intense dark beers.

Cheers to Summer Beers

One should always take advantage of seasonal craft beers. Brewers typically use the freshest fruits, herbs and spices on hand, meaning that during summer, we're flush with bright, citrus-y shandys and wheat ales. Summer beers are usually light, crisp and refreshing, making them the perfect pair for rich, creamy and spicy flavors.

Try your favorite summer shandy with our Duck Rillette Burger! Prepare a mixture of ground pork 75% and our savory Duck Rillette 25%, shape into patties and throw them on the grill for a couple of minutes to get the shape to hold. If desired. top with spicy pepper jack cheese, avocado slices and enjoy!

IPAs and Pate

IPAs are hoppy, strong beers that work incredibly well with rich flavors. For a perfect pairing, we suggest a thin slice of our Campagne pate 'tween the burger and the roll. Lose the ketchup though, add a pickle instead!
