Paté Rendezvous:
Tasty Paté Picks

Toothpick hors d'oeuvress are a great pick for holiday parties!

Wondering what to serve guests this holiday season? Try serving bite-sized squares of paté and complimentary foods on toothpicks! It's easy, fun and best of all your guests can pick and choose which bite sized morsels to savor.

Toothpick appetizers are unique flavor pairings stacked and held together with toothpicks. They make a portable single serve treat that doesn't require plates or serving utensils. Patés have delicious and unique flavors that are mellow enough to be scrumptiously combined with all sorts of bite-sized foods.

Paté toothpick appetizer tips

- Pick a few favorite foods to cut into small squares. Combinations of 2-4 different complimentary foods work best. Serve them cold and pay attention to colors – our patés look great when presented with the bright colors of cheeses, fruits and vegetables.

- Hard cheeses like Swiss, Cheddar and Gouda are easy to cut into squares and are a winning taste combination with paté. Try serving 3-4 different kinds of cheeses of varying strengths. Country style patés like our Pheasant and Rosemary or Gran Marnier, add complex and delicious flavors to any cheese combination.

- Vegetables like carrot and celery squares offer a wonderful crunch and mellow flavor companion to paté. Try one of our vegetable or vegan patés like the Tomato Basil with vegetables for a healthy, tasty toothpick app. Cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, broccoli and cauliflower chunks are other great veggie choices.

- Meats like grilled beef, lamb, or fowl pair very well with mousse style pate like our Truffle Mouse. Try beef or pork with a small slice of truffle mousse. For truly hearty appetizers serve cubed boiled potatoes with grilled meat cubes and a portion of chilled Sage and Pork or Duck Rillette.
