Soup & Salad Sides

Crostini with pâté make the perfect accompaniment for seasonal soups.

As summer turns to fall, and leaves turn vibrant colors, our thoughts turn to foods that are warmer and heartier. Soups are a natural fit for the fall and winter months, as they fill us up and warm us up at once.

Serve a bowl of your favorite soup with a side salad and you've got an instant meal... almost. Round out your menu with mousse pâté atop crostini to add a gourmet touch. The crostini are great for dipping in a hot soup, and also provides a complementary crunchy texture. The following are ideas on pairing pâté with different types of soup.

• If you're serving a vegetable soup, pair it with our Chicken Liver Mousse on crostini, or serve alongside a slice of Chicken Ballotine to add protein to your meal.

• Cream-based soups such as bisques are rich, so pair them with a slice of our Campagne Pâté or spread a bit of Mixed Vegetable Pâté on crostini for a light, fresh addition.
