Pâtétaining:
A Brunch to Remember

Mom's big day is just around the corner, which means you're likely looking for ways to honor her for all that she does. One of the simplest and most heartfelt ways to show the special ladies in your life that you love them is to host a Mother's Day brunch.

Our pâtés are luxuriant and easy to integrate into your favorite brunch recipes - a combination that will leave you feeling like a culinary expert and your mom feeling like a queen.

Read on for some of our favorite recipes and best tips for creating a Mother's Day meal to remember.

The Food

A proper brunch should leave you ready for a nap. Combine two meals into one and have a feast of indulgent family favorites !

Casually Decadent

We love introducing you to new recipes that the entire family will appreciate and enjoy. This Monkey Bread recipe embraces sweet rather than savory to create a fun-to-eat delight. We've used our decadent Truffle Mousse in this rendition, but feel free to experiment with your favorite pâtés, and let us know how it turns out!

Ingredients:

● 6 tbsp. butter, divided
● 6 large eggs
● 3 tbsp. heavy cream
● kosher salt
● Freshly ground black pepper
● 2 tbsp. finely chopped chives
● Alexian Truffle Mousse
● 2 tubes refrigerated biscuit dough
● 1 tbsp. garlic powder
● 2 tbsp. dehydrated onion
● 2 tbsp. poppy seeds
● 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
● 1 tbsp. Flaky sea salt
● 1 cup of bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a Bundt pan and set aside.

2. Scramble your eggs, fold in chives and Truffle Mousse. Set aside.

3. Cut each biscuit in half, rolling each half into a ball. Melt 5 tablespoons of butter, dunking each ball into melted butter. Set aside.

4. In a large zip-top bag, add garlic powder, onion, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sea salt and pepper. Seal and shake to mix ingredients. Add rolled doughs to bag and shake until coated in seasoning.

5. In a large bowl, combine the seasoned biscuit balls, scrambled eggs and cooked bacon. Toss gently to combine then pour the entire mixture into the Bundt pan.

6. Bake until golden brown or for about 28 to 30 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before turning out onto a platter. Serve warm.

Best of Both Worlds

Balance the best of breakfast and lunch ! Try recipes that add a twist to typical breakfast or lunch foods. For instance, smothering hash browns with diced bites of our Forest Mushroom Pâté, and topping it with some sauteed mushrooms and onions, creates a hearty dish that brings together the best of both worlds.

With the unofficial start of grilling season at the end of this month, it may be a good time for a warm up (who doesn't love a great burger?). Try our Artichoke and Mushroom Pâté Stuffed Bistro Burger, and top it off with a fried egg for a crowd-pleasing main course.

Savory Classics

French toast and crepes are two classics when it comes to putting together a sophisticated brunch. Turn the much-loved mainstays into savory masterpieces by pairing them with one of our rustic country-style pâtés. Embrace French herbs and spices with our Herb de Provence Chicken Pâté, or enjoy the richness and tantalizing texture of our beloved Duck Rillette.

The Drinks

Good food and good drinks are the only two requirements for a perfect brunch. With the former taken care of, we can focus our energy on picking out the right drinks. For most, the right choice is a mixture of both alcoholic and kid-friendly drinks, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Fresh juice: It may require more work than picking up a bottle at a supermarket, but the difference in taste more than makes up for it. Choose juices that your young guests will love, but that can also be used in adult drinks (such as mimosas or pina coladas) to kill two birds with one stone.

Sangria: Almost universally beloved, and easy to make in large batches. Use fresh fruit and your choice of red or white to make a couple of pitchers beforehand.

Mimosas: A brunch time staple, a mimosa is equal parts champagne and orange juice - easy enough for even the most inexperienced mixologist, yet glamorous enough for a princess.

The Details

Dishes: While you want everything to be picture-perfect, there's no reason to break out your best china, only to spend extra time cleaning up. Invest in some beautifully designed paper plates - like these floral ones - and some wedding-style disposable cutlery for a sophisticated theme that leaves you more time to spend with loved ones.

Flowers: Mother's Day and flowers go hand-in-hand, and for good reason - flowers are at their peak around this time of year. Wake up early and go to your local farmer's market to find a selection of fresh flowers to put all around your home.

Pictures: Everyone will be sharing their Mother's Day moments online, and there's no reason for you to sit out! With Instagram-worthy food and drinks, your favorite people gathered 'round, and a plethora of flowers, this will be a day you'll want to remember.
